Jude Cassidy
Jude Cassidy creates opulent soft furnishings. After graduating from the Glasgow School of Art, she worked as a commercial textile designer but decided to develop her talent as a designer-maker in craft sector.

Judith produces all her work on a dobby loom. Through extensive sampling she has found interesting and innovative ways to create highly textured fabrics without the need for a mechanical loom.
“My aim is to design and produce hand-crafted and unique products. I believe that my furnishings should not only catch the eye but beg to be touched. Longevity and luxury are key to her work as she uses only the finest of yarns and her bespoke designs are not trend-based. Inspiration for the current collection was taken from European architecture.”
Judith was awarded a placement on the Craft NI’s making it programme 09 - a 2 year craft business start-up programme for emerging designer-makers. She works to private commission.
