Basketmaking - Tradition & Innovation

The Craft & Design Collective presents an exhibition and celebration of the culture of basketmaking. The exhibition is now on at Space CRAFT, Belfast, until the 31st of August.

With encouragement and guidance from Alison Fitzgerald, one of our members, the Craft & Design Collective will present an exhibition that illustrates the rich diversity of baskets and woven sculptural objects that we have in Northern Ireland and the Repulic of Ireland.

This exhibition demonstrates the enduring relevance of baskets - as more than indispensable containers and tools for life.
