Keith Seybert offers an in-depth three-day course in the techniques and the theory involved in casting glass and bronze.
The workshop covers model making, mould construction, investment type refractory moulds, and ceramic based mould materials, enabling participants to customise their approach to fit their vision.
A range of Primary model materials will be demonstrated, working through to the final refractory moulds, thus some previous knowledge of, and experience with: clay, wax, or plaster work is essential to qualified participants.
All pertinent aspects of Kiln-cast glass will be covered. Participants will need to come with both sketchbook and notebook; ready with ideas to pursue, and open to learn. Large amounts of material will be covered in a relatively short time.
