Sculptural Glass Exhibition

Belgian-born glass artist Pia Raeymaekers exhibits a body of new work in sculptural glass at Craft NI from 14 March to 23 May 2011.

Pia Raeymaekers is a Belgian-born glass artist currently based at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart as part of the making it programme.  

She specialises in designing and producing cast glass sculptures and other hot and cold glass-making techniques.

Each piece of work produced is unique and incorporates tensions between transparency and opacity, fragility and strength; and is organic and abstract in shape.

Pia's exhibition of sculptural glass is part of Craft NI's exhibition programme 2010-11. Makers are invited to submit applications to use the gallery by apply to the exhibitions programme 2011-12.

How To Take Part:

Craft NI’s gallery is located in the Cotton Court building directly opposite the Merchant hotel. Opening Times: 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday. The gallery is also open 6-9pm on the first Thursday of every month as part of Late Night Art.
