In this hands-on workshop, Judith will take you through the design process of translating your ideas into an array of colorful, woven structures. She will also give advice on the choice of yarns, from her own yarn store, including silks, mohair, cashmere alpaca wool.
10am - 1.30pm & 2.30 - 4pm, weekends in February / £52 per person (additional dates available on request)
Led by Judith Cassidy, the workshop will show the setup stages of weaving including winding a warp, threading and sleghing. Participants will take home a traditional hand woven piece to be used as a table runner or scarf. The workshops are ideal for individuals and groups.
Jude is a textile designer specialising in woven textiles. After working in the commercial industry Jude set up her own hand weaving studio, through the making it programme.
