18th April 2011 in Business & the Economy

Northern Ireland Ceramicist has won the overall award for excellence at this year's British Craft Trade Fair in Harrogate.

Ceramicist Adam Frew, a former making it participant, based at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart, picked up the top award for excellence at the 2011 British Craft Trade Show.

The show celebrates the best in craft available to the trade. Its organiser, Margeret Bunn, reported good trading for the exhibitors with attendance of 4207 visitors over the three-day event.

Margeret commented ‘although our attendance was slightly less this year, which is the first time that buyer numbers have been affected by the past three year recession, the overall attendance was strong and many buyers attended over all 3 days of the fair.’
