Creativity Thirst: Creative Industries Programme

Seminars9th September 2010 - 30th November 2010

A series of free, accredited creative industries training courses taking place across three venues. Through this short, accessible programme, learners will develop a full business plan and a portfolio, including IT presentations and promotional materials to market their craft skills.

The ‘Creativity Thirst’ programme is organised by the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA) and aims to help individuals considering self employment or hoping to earn extra income from the creative industries to develop the necessary skills.

Participants will also receive guidance from a mentor who will prompt and guide them through this experience and all within a creative learning environment. This project has been developed by the WEA in response to specific needs identified in the Creative Industries and follows on from the highly successful pilot scheme which took place last year.

Anyone with a level 2 qualification or above in their skill area is eligible to apply.  A wide range of skills are eligible, including music, film, photography, textiles, craft, digital imaging and gaming.
