The aim - in line with August Craft Month 2012: Made in Northern Ireland -  is to highlight key makers living and working across Northern Ireland by showcasing profiles and stories in order to show the personalities and inspirations behind quality craft product.

The Craft Map is an online map of craft studios, galleries and outlets across Northern Ireland available at http://www.craftni.org. The Craft Map is a promotional opportunity for makers, craft organisations, galleries and outlets to gain extra visibility and recognition both locally and nationally.

By a craft studio we mean a workshop or other venue open to the public where work is produced by independent craftspeople working alone or in a small group. Craft galleries and outlets are venues open to the public where works by a number of Northern Ireland-based makers are sold.

If your studio/gallery/outlet is already listed on the Craft Map, it is essential that you ensure all details listed are correct and up to date. Selection process
Quality is the key characteristic of all practice that Craft NI supports. Craft NI will select on the basis of 3 criteria:
(1)    Producing quality contemporary craft (30)
(2)    Delivering quality cultural experience (30)
(3)     Delivering quality customer service (40)
