Opportunities
Perspective Magazine: Profile Opportunity for designer-makers
Invitation to submit proposal for NI’s leading architecture publication, Perspective. Craft NI is offering contemporary designer-makers the chance to profile themselves and their work in Northern Ireland’s leading architecture publication, ‘Perspective’, the bi-monthly Royal Society of Ulster Architects (RSUA) publication.
The feature is called ‘ABOUT’ and Perspective is circulated to a large and diverse readership including all RSUA members. This is a great opportunity to get published and a way to reach architecture and commissioning audiences.
Craft NI is currently compiling a list of contemporary designer-makers who wish to be considered for the ABOUT feature. It will not be possible to include all designer-makers due to the limited number of articles per year.
Criteria
Designer-makers will be considered for the article according to Craft NI definition of quality. By this, Craft NI means contemporary craft work that:
is challenging and extending practice;
is innovative in its use of materials and aesthetic vision;
reflects the signature of the individual maker;
demonstrates investigation of processes and critical enquiry at a high level.
Submission
You will need to submit the following 4 items upon request:
A 700-800 word feature about the designer-maker (see guidelines for text below)
15-20 high quality images (see image guidelines below)
A list of images (see image guidelines below)
