Exhibitions must be outside the UK
The Scheme is competitive and not a guaranteed fund
Average awards are less than £600
The British Council’s Grants to Artists scheme is designed to help artists resident in the UK with transportation and travel costs to an overseas exhibition of their work (group or solo). The scheme is competitive but is open to all UK-based professional artists working in the visual arts or crafts, as long as the artists have a firm offer in writing from the overseas venue.
