C3 - Collecting Contemporary Craft

C3 – Collecting Contemporary Craft promotes investing in contemporary craft for both personal and corporate collections.

Contemporary craft represents luxury, exclusivity and is unique, hand crafted work, made locally and recognized internationally.

Featuring Northern Ireland’s most outstanding designer-makers Craft NI in partnership with The Ulster Museum aims to inspire a new generation of collectors and provide an opportunity to explore, experience and collect contemporary craft.

The launch of C3 is an exclusive gala event which offers the opportunity to learn about contemporary craft, meet designer-makers and gain insider knowledge and advice about the Northern Ireland craft market and beyond. This partnership between Craft NI and the Ulster Museum provides expertise and guidance to begin investing in and collecting contemporary, innovative craft.

Through a number of high-profile promotional and showcasing events, C3 – Collecting Contemporary Craft will market local artists to potential collectors. It is hoped that this will be an ongoing programme which, over time, will encourage innovation and excellence in individual practice, grow craft businesses and contribute to the strengthening the overall infrastructure for craft development in Northern Ireland.

As part of the promotional support, Craft NI will produce a catalogue which will contain biographical material, critical endorsement and high quality images in relation to each selected artist.
