Contemporary Carrickmacross Lace with Theresa Kelly
R-Space Gallery and ACJSNI are delighted to offer a 3D Carrickmacross Lace Flax Flower workshop with National & International award winning lace designer and maker Theresa Kelly.
Kelly has had work exhibited in OIDFA World Lace Congress (Sally Johansson Award winner), The Cider Door, Montgambie Australia, The Brick Lane Gallery, London, Leiden Textile Festival to name but a few. Kelly has been awarded the Eleanor de Branchiere Award at the RDS Craft Competition Dublin on three occasions. Theresa regularly teaches with the Lace Museum, Sunnyvale America and this year she is one of the International Teachers with the Doily Free Zone Symposium.
During the workshop participants will learn the basic techniques of Carrickmacross Lace including applique, loops and pops.
