Double Exhibition at the Strule Arts Centre: Fold/Flow and Curved Earth
To celebrate August Craft Month 2022, Strule Arts Centre is delighted to present the work of two exceptional craftsmen, Des Cullen and Padraig Drugan.
Fold/Flow by Des Cullen:
Des Cullen from Leitrim brings examples of his intense, beautiful stone work, inspired by a pantheistic understanding of how ‘spirit’ or energy flows and folds in nature with his exhibition ‘Fold/Flow’.
Curved Earth by Padraig Drugan:
Padraig Drugan, originally from Fermanagh but now based in London presents a selection of his ceramic works, ‘Curved Earth’. Inspired by nature, Drugan combines ‘flowing curvature with volume, to suggest a sense of movement’ in his art. He loves ‘the possibilities that sculpture allows and the challenge of making something beautiful out of a lump of muck’.
Both of these exhibitions can be viewed in Strule Gallery from Friday 5 – Saturday 28 August 2022. Monday to Saturday 9.30am – 5pm.
Join the makers for a gallery tour and maker talk at the Strule Arts Centre to celebrate the launch of this exhibition on the 4th August. The launch is a free event but please book your space.
