Exhibition of local Whitehead and Islandmagee Craft
Throughout the month of August Whitehead Centre will be hosting local Artists and Crafters exhibiting and demonstrating their work. Our new exhibition space in the Centre is a perfect venue to showcase the talents of the many community members who work across a wide range of art and crafts. Workshops will also be run in the Community Centre by some of the participating exhibitors. We look forward to welcoming exhibitors and visitors to our lovely new facility on Kings Road, Whitehead.
Demonstrations and Workshops to suit a wide range of abilities and ages will also be run in the Community Centre and throughout the town by some of the participating exhibitors. All venues will have full disability access. Exhibitions include functional textile art, felting, handbag making, weaving and spinning Audrey Kyle (Watercolours); Sharon Millar (Enamel Art); MISE Handmade (Woodwork); Gemma Evans (Wood and Resin) Shirley Maxwell (Watercolours)

7th – Potter & Bunny Ceramics (10am – 3pm)
12th and 25th – Cherie Sewing Craft – Tissue Art (TBA)
14th Tina Enlander – Spinning (11am – 2pm)
21st – Tina Enlander – Loom Weaving (11am – 2pm)
26th, 27th and 28th – Angela Turkington – sewing functional textile art from dead stock linen, leather and fabric scraps (11am – 3pm)
