Moneydarragh Makers is a PEACE IV funded programme enabling adults and young people to explore the heritage of Mourne through ceramic, metal and textile workshops!
The projects facilitation is led by Claire Mooney, a silversmith local to the area. Moneydarragh Makers will explore the heritage and history of the Mourne area while working with craft makers including; Kasia’s Sewing Room and Ciara Campbell Ceramics to engage with and explore new materials. Workshops will be held during weekends throughout August and September
Each section of the project will run for a number of weeks enabling participants to explore and develop their skills within each discipline. Sessions will run for adults as well as one off ‘Mini-Moneydarragh Makers’ workshops for younger children.
Face masks must be worn unless exempt or activities can safely take place outdoors (weather permitting). Sanitiser stations will be in place. All events must be pre-booked via email and confirmation must be received before attending, a maximum of 15 people will be in the event space at any time to cater for the Covid-19 distancing and regulations (including members of staff/facilitators). Track and trace records will be kept as appropriate
