Moneydarragh Makers

Moneydarragh Makers is a PEACE IV funded programme enabling adults and young people to explore the heritage of Mourne through ceramic, metal and textile workshops!


The projects facilitation is led by Claire Mooney, a silversmith local to the area. Moneydarragh Makers will explore the heritage and history of the Mourne area while working with craft makers including; Kasia’s Sewing Room and Ciara Campbell Ceramics to engage with and explore new materials. Saturday 21st – Ceramics for adults and youth ceramics – Day 1 of 3 All Sold Out

Tuesday 24th – Playful Printing. Ages 5 – 11. 10am to 12pm.

Tuesday 24th –  Printmaking. Ages 11 – 16. 2pm to 4pm.

Tuesday 24th – Printmaking for adults. 16+. 7pm to 9pm.

Wednesday 25th – Claire Mooney Silver, Metalsmithing. 2pm to 5pm. Day 1 of 2.

Thursday 26th – Claire Mooney Silver, Metalsmithing. 2pm to 5pm. Day 2 of 2.

Friday 27th – Kasia’s Sewing Room. Ages 16+. 10am to 12pm.

Friday 27th – Kasia’s Sewing Room. Ages 16+. 1pm to 3pm.

Workshops will be held during weekends throughout August and September

Each section of the project will run for a number of weeks enabling participants to explore and develop their skills within each discipline. Sessions will run for adults as well as one off ‘Mini-Moneydarragh Makers’ workshops for younger children.


COVID latest: 

Face masks must be worn unless exempt or activities can safely take place outdoors (weather permitting). Sanitiser stations will be in place. All events must be pre-booked via email and confirmation must be received before attending, a maximum of 15 people will be in the event space at any time to cater for the Covid-19 distancing and regulations (including members of staff/facilitators). Track and trace records will be kept as appropriate
