Needle-felting workshop with Claire McDowell
This 3 hour needle-felting workshop, led by Claire McDowell, is suitable for complete beginners, or those with some experience. Claire will lead you step-by step-through the basics of needle-felting; from creating a core wool structure, to blending custom shades of carded wool to help you create a beautiful, 3D garden bird sculpture of a blue-tit, robin or wren. Your piece can be displayed standing or can be mounted on a vintage china cup as a keepsake.
During the workshop you will learn how to:
– needle-felt
– blend wool
– make your own 3D sculpture of a garden bird
Please note that this workshop is unsuitable for those with very limited fine motor skills
Presented as part of Causeway Craft Trail Showcase and August Craft Month.
