Buy Belfast Virtual Christmas Market

Hosted by Belfast City Council, this free opportunity is designed to encourage buying local and supporting local early-stage businesses.

Essentially this is an ongoing private Facebook group with more than 6,500 members and approved stallholders will be allowed to promote their wares and services to the public for free within the group.  The organisers are looking for early-stage businesses to take part and want to create a community of start-ups whilst showcasing the wide range of local products and services that are on offer in Belfast. This initiative will be followed up on by offering any free business support that could help you grow your business after the virtual market.

To be eligible to take part you must:

  • Be a Belfast-based business with a Belfast business or personal postcode
  • Have been trading for less than 3 three years (from Nov 2018)

Organisers Podiem are also hosting a free workshop on Monday 8th November 12.30 – 1.45pm with content queen, Tina Calder, entitled, Creating Killer Comms to Sell your Product Online’. In this session, attendees will learn how to craft the perfect product description, create engaging titles and how to write the perfect call to action. This event will be of particular interest to those taking park in the ‘Buy Belfast’ Virtual Christmas Market but will be open and relevant to everyone, so we encourage you to reserve a spot now as this is a popular and relevant topic to all.
