Call for Applications: August Craft Month 2019

CRAFT NI invites you to register a Craft-related event for August Craft Month 2019.

August Craft Month is Northern Ireland’s Annual Celebration of all things Craft.

August Craft Month is a series of events (Craft exhibitions, workshops, demonstrations, fairs, festivals and more…) delivered by a partnership of individuals and organisations across Northern Ireland. It is co-ordinated by CRAFT NI on behalf of the Craft sector and is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland through the National Lottery.

The aim of August Craft Month is to shine a spotlight on Craft and the art of making things by encouraging as many people as possible to make, see, learn about and buy Craft.

It is also our opportunity as a sector to celebrate Craft, promote Craft makers and encourage individuals, organisations, retail outlets, galleries, museums, local councils, arts centres, cultural venues, further education colleges, universities, heritage organisations, amongst others, to put on Craft-related activities during August each year.

As sector lead body and Champion for Craft in Northern Ireland, the role of CRAFT NI in August Craft Month is to co-ordinate and collate the programme and listings, implement a PR and marketing plan and organise a launch event (location tbc).

Currently CRAFT NI does not have a dedicated budget to provide additional support to those participating in August Craft Month.
