Marsh Heritage Crafts Trainee Award

The Marsh Heritage Crafts Trainee Award of £1,000 is now open for applications. Heritage Crafts aims to ensure that ‘traditional craft skills survive into the future, and this requires a regular intake of enthusiastic and dedicated new entrants’.
Broadly classified as ‘trainee’, the award winner could be:
- on a formal apprenticeship scheme
- a traineeship
- an institution-based course with a high degree of practical training
- be pursuing ‘portfolio-style’ training comprising of short-courses and workshops
Any of these options are acceptable, as long as training has formed a significant part of at least twelve months prior to applying.

Applications, whether submitted by the trainee themselves, or nominated by their trainer, craft guild or membership organisation, must be submitted by Friday 29th April, at 5pm. You can find out more about this award here.
