Tender Opportunity – Public Sculpture Commissions

Belfast City Council’s Physical Programmes Team work to improve the public realm and built environment of the City. They wish to progress a programme of public art in City Hall grounds with the commission of 2 new sculptures.
The purpose of this project is to increase public engagement with creative works and the value they bring to the city.
Applications can be from individual artists or a consortium of artists who will design, fabricate and install high-quality permanent figurative sculptures of Winifred Carney and Mary Ann McCracken in the grounds of Belfast City Hall.
Budget:
The maximum budget for this project is £150,000 per statue which will cover design fees, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and all community and stakeholder engagement.
The tendering process will take place in two stages;
1 – Pre-qualification stage, evidence will be requested to prove previous experience and the ability to project manage and deliver a project of this size.
2 – Tender, at this stage artists will be asked to submit a maquette, an accompanying design, a project plan, an outline budget and a schedule of works.
