VAI: Finding a Creative Space or Studio

Visual Artists Ireland are hosting a webinar on Finding a Creative Space or Studio with David Cook, the director of Glasgow Building Preservation Trust and founder of Cook Creative.
This event seeks to equip visual artists or collectives with guidance on key things to consider and enquire about in your search for a studio. What tactics should you employ when engaging with city and county councils? How can collectivising impact on finding a space?
About David:
David Cook is also Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Honorary Fellow of the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland and previously chief executive of Wasps Artists’ Studios. As well as being a Chartered Surveyor, David is a social entrepreneur and business manager specialising in culture-led regeneration – particularly devising and delivering cultural capital projects.
David has also been instrumental in the development of the Bothy Project which provides creative residences in bespoke small-scale, off-grid creative residency spaces in rural Scotland to explore creativity, landscape and living simply
