August Craft Month is Northern Ireland’s unique celebration of the craft sector, providing opportunities for the public to experience, participate in, buy and learn about Craft.
We invite applications from makers, guilds, networks, galleries and arts venues and welcome the submission of events that provide the chance for audiences to come together to celebrate Northern Ireland’s craft sector whether in-person, online, or both.
This year, Craft NI, the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland and Cork Craft and Design will come together to jointly promote events across the island taking place in August Craft Month 2022. We’ll also be featuring in the UK Crafts Council’s 50 year anniversary celebration programme, so we can grow audiences for Northern Ireland’s talented craft makers across the islands.
Profiling makers, highlighting venues and the work of the Councils, August Craft Month works to increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the work of our many talented makers. Join us this August to add to the positive range of events profiling Northern Irish craft to a wider audience.
The deadline for submissions is Tuesday 28th June. You can still register for events after this date for inclusion on our digital platforms. But the more time there is to promote your event, the better.
If you have any questions about August Craft Month or the application form, get in touch with us at lorna.towns@craftni.org or 028 9032 9342.
