SHAPE Involve and Engage

The British Academy is delighted to announce the launch of a pilot award scheme, SHAPE Involve and Engage, which will fund innovative public engagement projects, delivered in partnership with a gallery, library, archive or museum.

They are currently searching for creative academics who want to experiment with their engagement work and explore ambitious new ways to share their research with a public audience.

The call offers an exciting opportunity build new connections with cultural partners and trial creative ideas for engaging the public with research from across our disciplines, from history to psychology, from classics to geography.

Small awards of up to £8,000 will be made to researchers across the UK in the pilot year. Successful award recipients are expected to have some prior public engagement experience, but we welcome applicants from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, expertise and career stages.

Deadline for applications: Wednesday 28 June 2023, 5pm

Dates of award: between October 2023 and October 2024
