Register today – Be a new maker 2025

13 September 2024

Deadline: September 30, 2024

The TOAST New Makers programme offers support and mentoring for emerging makers,  provides business support, as well as a platform to sell pieces with full profits being returned to makers.

This programme is open to all emerging makers working in any craft discipline, wherever they may be in the world. Emerging makers are defined as individuals who may have been practising for any length of time but are in the early stages of their career. Applications are welcome from those who are underrepresented in craft and a range of educational backgrounds.

Winners will be selected by guest judge Kate Orne, founder of the publication Upstate Diary, and a TOAST panel.

As part of the programme, TOAST commits to selling the chosen makers’ products online at toa.st and in selected TOAST shops until December 2025. They will provide access to mentoring sessions with members of the TOAST team throughout the year. Their online magazine will profile each maker and will promote the collection through email, social and on their New Makers page.
