Artist Residency – The Marketplace Theatre & Arts Centre

Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council, in partnership with the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, is inviting applications for an exciting year-long Artist in Residence programme.

If you’re a professional artist aged 18+, living and working in Northern Ireland, and ready to take your practice to the next level, this residency offers the space, support and inspiration to do just that. This opportunity is open to artists in any discipline, including visual arts, craft, digital arts, performance, dance, music, photography, creative writing/poetry, socially engaged practice, or interdisciplinary work.

The selected artist will receive dedicated studio time, professional support, and the chance to collaborate with schools, community groups and local organisations, shaping a year of meaningful creative engagement. The residency runs from 09 March 2026 to 05 March 2027, with a total value of £20,000, including fees and materials.
