Cockpit Professional Development Programmes for Makers

Cockpit have several upcoming online professional development programmes for makers.

 

1. Craft Your Future is developed for aspiring makers exploring whether to turn their creativity into a career. Through expert guidance, real -world case studies, and practical exercises, you’ll gain the clarity, confidence, and tools to take the next step. Drawing on over a decade of experience supporting makers, this programme covers everything from assessing your business readiness and creative development to building networks, pricing your work, and understanding life as a maker.

Delivered from 1st October to 3rd December 2026. Register your interest by 31st August.

 

2. Forge Ahead helps more experienced makers realise their full potential and develop lasting impact. Over 10 practical sessions, makers will gain expert guidance, peer -to-peer learning, and real -world tools to evolve their practice both creatively and commercially. The programme will help makers develop a clear strategic vision, strengthen their planning and financial confidence, and refine their marketing to reach the right audiences. Forge Ahead gives the focus, clarity, and momentum to grow a business with purpose.

Delivered from 23rd September to 2nd December 2026. Register your interest by 31st August.

 

3. Make It Count supports early career makers who are ready to strengthen their offer and steady their growth. Across 8 practical sessions, makers wi ll gain expert guidance, peer support, and hands -on tools to build confidence and clarity in their business journey. Based on Cockpit’s proven programme for new makers, you’ll learn how to define your vision and values, set SMART goals, plan effectively, manage finance and pricing, identify your customers, and make the most of opportunities and
events.

Delivered from 18th January to 15th March 2027. Register your interest by 16th November.

 

 

Cockpit have received some funding to subsidize the cost of each programme for individual makers as follows:

Craft Your Future: £120

Make it Count: £190

Forge Ahead: £350
