Wear Her Story: Co-Creating Cultural Identity and Wellbeing with Seldom-Heard Girls and Young Women through Heritage-Inspired Digital Fashion, Digital Fabrication and Immersive Storytelling
Are you interested in fashion, textiles and heritage? Would you like to explore exciting new creative technologies such as 3D printing, digital fabrication, laser cutting, digital fashion, animation, 3D scanning, virtual try-ons, AR filters and virtual design galleries?
This is a crossborder project and a partnership between Dundalk Institute of Technology and Glow NI in Belfast.
If so, Wear Her Story could be for you!
Over 14 months, you will take part in a series of creative bootcamps, cultural visits, museum trips, wellbeing activities and creative workshops. You will learn new skills, make new friends, meet inspiring female role models, work with artists and creative practitioners, and co-create artistic artefacts that explore identity, heritage and personal stories.
You will also have the opportunity to showcase your creative work as part of a final exhibition and showcase in 2027.
This project brings together heritage, creativity, digital fashion, digital fabrication and immersive storytelling through a co-creative approach. It is designed to support confidence and wellbeing while helping you develop digital, creative and employability skills for future opportunities in the creative industries.
