Responsa Foundation Open Call for Textile Artists – ‘This Memory’

21 October 2026

Deadline: December 4, 2026

The Responsa Foundation is seeking textile artists to submit work for This Memory, a group exhibition taking place in September 2027 at Burgh House in Hampstead. Artists are invited to submit one textile artwork responding to the theme of memory, with a short written response to the artwork of 50 words maximum. Textile-based work in any form is accepted, including weaving, embroidery, soft sculpture, quilting, tapestry, fabric manipulation, fibre art and mixed media, and work may be new or previously created.

Selected works will be professionally printed, framed and exhibited at the Peggy Jay Gallery, Burgh House, from 22 September to 3 October 2027. Submissions will be judged by a mixed panel from The Responsa Foundation team. Submissions are welcome from artists all around the world, and AI-generated artwork is not accepted. If your submission is successful, you will hear back approximately in June or July 2027.
