A Stitch Through Time on BBC1

29 September 2021

A passion for fashion combined with inspiration from Ulster’s rich textiles history is the theme for the new series: A Stitch Through Time.

Made by DoubleBand Films, the four-part series begins on Wednesday 6 October on BBC One at 7.30pm.

Hosted by Claire McCollum, four promising local designers go head-to-head each week to see whose creations best represent the heritage and influence of the Ulster-Scots pioneers that helped shape the global textiles industry.

Judges Una Rodden and Katie Larmour will appear alongside contentants Christine Boyle, Thomas Irwin, Samanta Radek and Matthew Tanner.

Bruce Clark author and textile historian, a descendent of one of Ulster’s great linen families, will reveal the fascinating history behind the design challenges and the outfits.
