Adele’s background is in fine art. She studied Painting at Winchester School of Art where she dismayed her tutors by insisting on painting wildlife subjects. Since graduating she has turned her artistic skills to many things besides her ongoing wildlife art practice, including pub refurbishment, furniture upcycling and painting bricks and barrels at Euro Disney. Adele relocated to Northern Ireland in 1999 and continues to exhibit in group and solo shows. She continues to work in both fine and applied arts. Her work is part of many private collections and she has been a recipient of a number of awards and bursaries.
Adele has been involved in the craft sector in NI for many years as a maker, usually of things that don’t quite fit into any of the traditional craft disciplines. These days she makes wildlife themed paper art.
I started in Craft N.I Gallery in October 2020 and have been enjoying working on various projects and learning more about the craft sector in Northern Ireland.
