Applications are now open for Clay City’s Winter Professional Residency

15 September 2026

Deadline: October 5, 2026

4th January 2027 – 31st March 2027.

This residency is taking place as part of Clay City, a collaboration between Throwing Shapes and Staycity, offering a 12-month graduate program and 3-month professional residencies for ceramic artists.

The successful candidate will be awarded with three months in a state-of-the-art community ceramics studio and fully subsidised city centre accommodation in Dublin city.

This one-of-a-kind initiative aims to support artists in developing their careers while contributing to Ireland’s leading ceramics community. Our goal is to attract both Irish and international residency applicants, encouraging community engagement and establishing Dublin as a hub for ceramics. Staycity’s involvement is crucial in removing financial barriers for artists seeking to work and live in Dublin City.

Clay City have previously hosted Stella Baraklianou, Camilla Hanney and most recently Teruri Yamawaki from Japan.
