Artist Call- Out Exhibition and Silent Auction in Paris

To celebrate the opening to the public of the renovated, historic Château de Bagatelle and to give tribute to the life and philanthropy of Sir Richard Wallace, a festive event is being planned for the evening of 13 June 2024 at Château de Bagatelle. This event is also a fundraiser to finance the creation and installation of a life-size, outdoor statue of Sir Richard Wallace, the Benefactor of Paris and donor of the Wallace Fountains and of the Wallace Collection in London. Fondation Mansart and La Société des Fontaines Wallace, sponsors of the event, invite artists worldwide to help support this fundraising effort by participating in the Art Exhibition and Silent Auction. R-Space Gallery will manage the exhibition.
Themes: Artworks reflecting on Wallace Fountains, Richard Wallace, Château de Bagatelle, the Wallace Collection in London, or Wallace’s cultural impact on Lisburn, Northern Ireland will be considered.
Categories: Photography, ceramics, drawing, painting, prints, sculpture, stained glass, textile art, mixed media, and other artistic forms are welcome.
Size of the Work: Works should be portable, with two-dimensional works no larger than 40 cm on the longest side.
Artist Options: Artists are encouraged to donate their works for the statue fund or consign with a minimum opening bid. Sales revenue from consigned work is shared 50/50 between the artist and Fondation Mansart.
Artist Responsibilities: The artist is responsible for the delivery of the work to and from a place designated by the curator, as well as all related expenses. ( A full address in Paris will be provided) Artists are welcome to attend the event and promote their art at their own expense. Admission to the event is free of charge for participating artists.
Juried Selection: Curators will select pieces for the exhibition and auction from submitted images. Successful artists will be notified by May 15, 2024.
