Create Copper Floral Magic at Walled Garden Helen’s Bay
About the event
Join local coppersmiths Matthew and Caron from Lake Oak in the Walled Garden, Helen’s Bay for a unique, creative, copper flower making experience and learn how to create a bespoke piece of copper metal craft of your own.
On arrival, you will be welcomed with a refreshing glass of homemade lemonade before strolling around the garden to carefully select some flowers of your choice to be used as templates for your design.
You will learn traditional silversmithing techniques including forming, sawing, sanding, filing, hammering, piercing and polishing, and leave at the end of the workshop with your own unique copper flower which can also be made into a piece of jewellery. If there is sufficient time, additional pieces may also be crafted.
Refreshments including tea coffee and homemade cakes and bakes will be provided to fuel your creativity.
