About the event
Join tutor Rene Mullin at the Island Arts Centre for an introduction to block printing on linen
Printmaker, Rene Mullin, works with Irish linen approved by the Irish Linen Guild, her art and functional accessories use screen, linocut, or mono printing techniques. Participants will be guided through the process of hand carving a lino cut stencil, and experimenting with colours and patterns.
Then comes the designing and decorating, using their hand cut lino stencil to block print colours and shapes on their own Irish linen scarf.
