Portraits in Stitch Workshop
About the event
In this workshop, you will learn how to translate photographs into line-drawn images for embroidery.
Using foundational embroidery stitches, you will complete your piece on fine Irish linen and learn how to finish it for display in an embroidery hoop.
Your facilitator, Jaele, will help you digitally manipulate the image if necessary. Keep in mind a larger photograph, e.g. 6 x 4 inches, works best. If you can, bring more than one photograph. All other materials and equipment are provided.
