Youth Metalsmithing Course with Claire Mooney
About the event
Learn how to make your own metal pieces or develop your skills in this four-day metalsmithing class from silversmith Claire Mooney!
The workshops will take place Mon–Thurs on the week beginning August 7th from 1pm–4pm, and finishing on August 10th. As part of our Come Together arts programme we will host a joint exhibition with work from all the workshops on August 12th.
Materials and light refreshments will be provided.
We’re able to provide these workshops at a subsidised rate thanks to Arts Council funding. Come Together is a creative programme of workshops designed to put on a variety of classes in the rural Moneydarragh Area!

Who is this suitable for?
Suitable for beginners these workshops are perfect for those looking to learn about the tools and techniques involved in metalsmithing and jewellery making.
Participants must be age 13–18.
Accessibility
The centre includes a ramp for ease of access, however does not have disability accessible bathrooms.

This four day workshop runs from Monday 7th-Thursday 10th August from 1pm-4pm.

This event is a part of August Craft Month held in collaboration with Design & Crafts Council Ireland and Cork Craft & Design. 2023 will mark the 17th annual August Craft Month in NI with makers all across the island of Ireland getting involved.
