18 February 2026

Deadline: March 5, 2026

Louth County Council is beginning a new phase in Public Art Programming and will be accepting submissions for 3 Artist in Residence commissions in 2026. The focus of these commissions will be on collaborations with communities in County Louth.

Louth County Council are seeking 3 artist-led projects which should seek to challenge, engage and innovate, through meaningful dialogue, research and engagement with communities. They are also commissioning six sculpture projects – details are in a separate document.

Louth County Council will be accepting proposals from any recognised art form, from individuals or teams, who seek to devise and complete new work, developed in a collaborative setting. We are seeking compelling, ambitious proposals from artists which meet, challenge and expand our ideas of public art.

Commissions of €100,000 (inc. VAT) are available in the following areas:

  1. Ardee & Mid Louth
  2. Drogheda & South Louth
  3. Dundalk & North Louth
