Could you help save endangered crafts from extinction?

12 October 2022

Deadline: October 20, 2022

Are you a teacher who would like to introduce your class to the world of heritage crafts? Or do you know one who would like to hear about this?

On 1 November Heritage Crafts are teaming up with Speakers for Schools and BBC Repair Shop stars Sonnaz Nooranvary, Will Kirk and Dominic Chinea for a live hour-long online session learning about heritage craft skills in the UK, including skills which may rely on the next generation of makers to survive.

During this session;

  • Find out how you can get involved in crafts as a career or special interest.
  • Ask Sonnaz, Will and Dom about their experiences as professional craftspeople and restorers.
  • Have the opportunity to tell us whether you think these skills are important.

This session will take place on Tuesday 1st November from 10.30am-11.30am, and is targeted towards students aged 14 to 19.

To book a workshop for your class, see here. The closing date for applications is Thursday 20th October.
