Craft Hub Open Call

Deadline: April 24, 2023UK-based craft practitioners are invited to participate in the Craft Hub exhibition being organised by UWTSD in Swansea, Wales, UK.
In 2023, Craft Hub will be celebrating and showcasing the skill and innovation of contemporary craft makers in an International Exhibition.
The exhibition will commence in Matera, Italy in April 2023, before proceeding to venues in Greece, Germany, Portugal, Ireland, Wales, with the final exhibition in Norway in October 2023.
Who can apply?
The exhibition will feature work from across the whole spectrum of craft techniques and uses an anonymous selection process, giving emerging artists an equal opportunity to be selected alongside the established makers.
Craft makers are invited to submit an application to be a part of this exhibition. The team are seeking a broad range of pieces that link to the themes of experimentation, heritage, craft and sustainability.
Submissions are invited from all skilled makers; those with exhibition experience, and those quiet makers who are stepping into the limelight for the first time.
Requirements are:
- working in clay, glass, metal, wood, textiles, paper, or other craft materials
- creating original work
- demonstrating accomplished skill and artistic merit
- work made in collaboration with other makers is welcome.
Makers are requested to submit already created pieces for this selection process. The initial exhibition will be held in Italy in April 2023.

Exhibition dates 14-27 September 2023
Application deadline: 24 April 2023.
Craft Hub is a collaborative three-year project involving nine UK & EU partners including Craft Scotland, co-funded by Creative Europe.
