Creative Spark Artist in Residence Programme

Funded by the Arts Council of Ireland, the Creative Spark Artist-in-Residence Programme offers three residency opportunities designed to support artistic development, creative exchange, and engagement with Creative Spark’s specialist facilities and the local creative community.

We welcome applications from emerging and established artists working across all disciplines.

 

Residency Categories
Applicants may apply to one of the following residency categories.

 

County Louth Artist Residency
This residency is intended for artists who are currently living in, or have a strong connection to, County Louth.

The residency supports the development of local artistic practice while strengthening connections between artists and the wider community. Applicants are encouraged to demonstrate how their work engages with local audiences, place, heritage, or contemporary issues relevant to the region.

 

 

National Artist Residency (Ireland)

This residency is open to artists living elsewhere on the island of Ireland, outside County Louth.
The programme offers artists the opportunity to develop new work, access Creative Spark’s specialist facilities, and engage with the creative community in Dundalk and the wider North East region.

 

International Artist Residency

This residency is open to artists based outside Ireland.
The programme aims to foster international cultural exchange by bringing new perspectives and creative practices to Creative Spark while providing artists with th
