Duchess of Cornwall visits Cara Murphy
20 May 2021
The recent NI visit by Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall included a stop in Hillsborough where the Duchess visited the workshop of silversmith Cara Murphy, whose work features in a number of art collections, including British and Irish galleries and museums, with one piece also also in Downing Street. Fantastic to see continuous interest in the Northern Irish craft sector at this challenging time.
After a workshop demonstration, the Duchess tried her hand at the traditional craft of silversmithing and told Cara she’d also done some enamelling in the past.
