7 March 2023
Deadline: March 13, 2023
Taking place on Monday 13th March, join us online for How to Improve Your Maker Practices to be More Sustainable with Sophie Rochester.
Please note this session has been moved to 2pm.
Become more environmentally conscious in your craft practice through simple tips and advice on cutting down on waste, saving water and swapping your materials for more sustainable alternatives.
This workshop will help makers and craft organisations with some advice, support and the tools they need to become greener.
We will explore:
- Circular Economy principals and how makers are key to supporting the reuse of materials
- How collectives can support your sustainability goals
- Understanding supply chains and how they can impact your sustainability credentials
We will look at some of the overall themes around running a sustainable practice and also consider some of its specific challenges to the maker community – for example, water, kilns and more.
We will also explore how to talk about sustainability in your business and how best to present the efforts that you are making in your business to reduce your impact on the environment – even if some of these actions are still a work in progress.
