Deadline: October 8, 2026
I’m getting in touch to ask whether you might be able to help share an open call with people and organisations within your networks who may be interested?
University of Atypical for Arts and Disability, in partnership with the Department for Communities, is currently inviting applications from d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent artists based in Northern Ireland for an International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPWD) 2026 event in Belfast.
The theme of the open call is “Accessibility in Fashion”, with the event titled Fashion, Identity & Inclusion: Celebrating Disabled Creativity. The opportunity is open to artists working across a wide range of disciplines, including fashion and textiles, photography, film, performance, sculpture, jewellery, illustration, craft, digital practice and more.
Three artists will be selected to develop and deliver a 15-minute presentation as part of the event programme. Selected artists will receive a £300 artist commission fee, a £150 panel participation fee, and reimbursement of reasonable travel and agreed access costs.
