Garvan Traynor Jewellery

Jewellery

Garvan specialises in private commissions to design one-off pieces of quality contemporary jewellery using a variety of metals and precious stones, including platinum and diamonds. His clients typically will enjoy being part of the creative process, or simply enjoy having a one-off piece of jewellery made just for them. Garvan involves clients closely in the design process to ensure that the end product exceeds expectations: ‘My creative process is about engaging and collaborating with the client. Every person is different and every piece I produce reflects that, this builds a constantly creative cycle.’ Garvan's exhibition work finds inspiration from a broad range of contemporary influences, for example, recent exhibitions have been based on contemporary political, architectural and industrial themes. This approach transforms my work from the isolated sculptural or artistic ‘object’ to play an engaging role in contemporary cross-discipline design narrative. Minimal clean design aesthetics with a high degree of integrity of craftsmanship. Having a solid technical background in goldsmithing skills I ensure that the realisation of my designs is rooted in high quality craftsmanship.
