Bio

Born in Northern Ireland in October 1980, Jill trained at Loughborough University School of Art and Design, graduating top of her year in Silversmithing and Jewellery in 2002. Acquiring valuable skills during her subsequent apprenticeship to a goldsmith, she successfully set up her own business in 2003.

Jill Graham’s fascination of organic structure is used to inform her unique jewellery pieces. Strong, bold shapes stress the qualities of the inclusions of texture and form. She draws inspiration from surface treatment of nature and elements of plant life where patterns made can make the most beautiful designs. From conception, the jewellery is minimal and fundamental. However, through the construction process, complexity is built into the piece from layering and mixing precious metals.

Using sterling silver and 18ct gold, each item is meticulously handmade. Specialist machinery helps her create exquisite pieces with the finest detail and meshwork to achieve a distinctive, intricate and textured look to all of her designs. Jill’s diverse range includes necklaces, brooches, earrings, bangles and rings and extends to include a men’s range of cufflinks and rings. She also works on private commissions, designing bespoke engagement rings and other unique pieces.

In June 2013 she was commissioned by 10 Downing Street to make an exclusive piece of jewellery to be presented to the 8G world leaders where she was able to present our Prime Minister with his own piece. Jill is also using her valuable knowledge and experience to help develop the craft sector in Northern Ireland by  being a member of Craft NI\’s Craft Advisory Panel.

Her work sells at selected galleries and shops around the world.
