Bio

Welcome to Natasha Swan Ceramics, where I, Natasha Swan, along with my pottery dog, Bamse, and my husband, Craig, run this creative venture from the heart of the seaside town,  Whitehead in Northern Ireland. This charming location serves as the perfect backdrop for our  pottery journey.

The beginning of Natasha Swan Ceramics owes much to the unwavering support of my parents, who converted their garage for my initial studio alongside the local enterprise board, which provided crucial start-up support. In 2020, this dream became a reality, and I fully embraced self-employment, a milestone that coincided with an unforgettable year for us all.

My path to becoming a dedicated artisan involved countless hours of trial and error, shaping both imperfect and beautiful pots. Through dedicated learning at Ulster University Belfast and, most significantly, the ‘Pottery Skills Course’ at The Design and Craft Council of Ireland, I polished my artistry. Additionally, I had the privilege of working with various other potteries across the country, refining my techniques and designs.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey. Your support and encouragement have been the bedrock of my success. Each piece we create is a testament to the joy of owning cherished, handcrafted pottery—pieces inspired by the simple beauty of everyday life, meant to be lovingly used.

Thank you for sharing this adventure with me. As you explore Natasha Swan Ceramics, I hope you discover the joy and warmth that comes with owning handcrafted, deeply loved pottery.

Best wishes,

Tasha
