A ceramics artist based in Belfast who creates open-headed figurative sculptures that focus on celebrating disability and mental health awareness, and wearable art pieces.
Suzii is a disabled and neurodiverse ceramics artist based in Belfast. Her work primarily focuses on mental health and disability awareness, through creating figurative sculptures that embody both the positive and negative aspects of chronic illness. Suzii graduated from Ulster University in 2018 with a BA Hons in Ceramics, and is currently studying to be an Art Psychotherapist, with hopes to specifically focus he practice on providing support for other individuals within the disabled community in Northern Ireland. Suzii is a previous IDA and d/DASF award winner, and has exhibited her work in a number of shows, including but not limited to 1 FT SQ (2020), Meltdown 2.0 (2023) and her first solo exhibition, What I Am (2022) where she created a body of work based around her personal experiences learning to love and accept the changes in her body due to chronic pain.
