Open call for Artists and Makers in Northern Ireland – Respond to the theme ‘Experimental’

R-Space Gallery would like to invite artists and makers based in Northern Ireland to submit work(s) for our annual open exhibition – Materials, Messages & Meaning responding to the theme ‘Experimental’.

The exhibition will be a group show of five artists and makers with different approaches to the materials they choose to work with, the messages and meaning they wish to convey using those materials and the methods and processes they use to make the work. Proposals may also include a workshop or performance. Selected artists will receive a fee for taking part.

Exhibition Dates: 1 – 28 November 2025

Please send a CV and Artist Statement including an explanation on how the theme ‘Experimental’ fits into your work. Ensure documents are no longer than one side A4 each and are in Word or pdf. Include high resolution images of up to 4 works in jpeg / png / pdf format . Please provide information about your work(s) including, title, year, medium(s) and dimensions. Any high-resolution images or large files can be sent via Google docs link / Dropbox / WeTransfer.
