Product Photography with Conor O’Brien

Learn the art of creating high-quality, creative photographs of a range of products. This 3-hour workshop is designed for those makers with some photography experience and access to a quality camera (ideally a digital camera with full manual controls).
Taking place at Belfast Exposed on the 12th September from 10am-1pm, the workshop will cover the key aspects of the camera skills, compositional techniques, and lighting setups that are focused on product photography. Products can be anything from jewellery and glass, to ceramics and woodwork.
The course will be structured as follows:
Theory
· Introduction to product photography
· Best settings, tips and techniques for using your digital camera (and smartphone)
· Lighting styles and setups
· Lighting equipment, accessories and modifiers
· How to create your own backdrop/set for photographing products
Practical
· Stations will be setup for participants to photograph products applying all of the learning from the session. Participants should bring their own camera and products to photograph.
