Rural Engagement Arts Programme

The Arts Council of Northern Ireland have announced a new three-year £1.5m funding programme promoting arts projects in rural areas, supported by The National Lottery.
The purpose of the Rural Engagement Arts Programme is to allow community groups, arts organisations and local authorities in rural communities across Northern Ireland to provide “an integrated, cohesive approach to the needs of local rural communities” responding to the need to “tackle isolation and loneliness, and promote social inclusion and wellbeing”.
The ACNI invite online applications for grants of up to £10,000 to deliver arts projects benefitting rurally-based communities.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from the widest possible range of organisations. You will be required to provide proof that you have a legal constitution.
- Registered charities and other organisations which cannot distribute profits
- Groups of organisations working together to deliver specific projects
- Local Authorities
- Arts Organisations
- Organisations based in Republic of Ireland border communities are eligible to apply, however, any proposed project must benefit people living in rural communities in Northern Ireland.
Formally constituted parent-teacher associations
Applications will close on Thurs 28th July 2022, with further application rounds to be announced over the three-year period.
